Romney Demonstrated For War and Draft, Then Refused to Serve

Kinda Weird and creepy, but somewhat in line with what Dubya did, jumping in front of other eligible applicants in the Texas Air National Guard so he didn't have to go to "Nam".

Who's Lying Now Mr. Romney?

I think we need the Real Refs up there, refereeing the debates!

Video above clipped to just before section on Scott Brown's remarks about Elizabeth Warren, the actions of his staff, the Cherokee Chief's call for Brown to renounce his staff's remarks, despite what the top picture shows. This video contained 15 minutes with several different reports, but offered a way to clip it shorter which I did.  No Mitt Romneys were harmed in the shortening of this video.

Romey Got Tax Break From OutSourced Company

Remnant

Aka ruin, or what remains when everything that makes something functional and valuable is gone, like most of the good wage jobs in the US have gone elsewhere thanks to Bain Capital and other businesses like that.

Excerpt from first report linked below:
Romney transferred $701,703 worth of Sensata stock to the Tyler Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit controlled by Romney. The gift is listed on page 323 of the pdf, on form 8283 (below).
Therefore he got a substantial deduction off his taxes from that transfer.
Moving the stock to his nonprofit brings Romney twin benefits. First, he gets to deduct the full value of the stock. At a 35 percent tax rate, that's nearly a $250,000 benefit. At 15 percent, it's just over $100,000.
Second, Romney is able to avoid paying capital gains taxes on the stock price increase
I didn't quite get the whole idea of a charitable trust besides the tax break.  Or, in other words why the government allows this.

I know that some charitable trusts actually do pass money on to well meaning charities.  I hear non-profits saying they received money from the Pew Charitable Trust, but if you are just going to hang on to the moola in your trust, what's the use to society that gives you a tax break?  and what's the benefit to you that makes you put it in a charitable trust instead just donating the money off to some charity or another.

Maybe you can pass it on to your kids after you die (at which time there is no tax), but that would negate the whole charitable purpose.  Maybe there are two good reasons for it.  You can take a deduction now, but decide later which charity will need it; use it if you ever have a financial disaster hit your family, withdrawing it at a lower tax rate?  Or use the Steve Jobs/ Mark Zuckerberg method of borrowing against it and thereby not paying taxes on what you need to live on (and actually working up tax credits against any taxes you may owe because you'd possibly pay interest on the loans).

But in the end the truth is that we used to call companies like Bain and people like Romney, "Corporate Raiders".  It used to be a bad thing.  Now it's just a fact of life and we are supposed to nearly worship such people as they ship our jobs overseas.

I guess that's because our mainstream media (both news and entertainment) is controlled by the same mufti-millionaires and billionaires that do this to us.  Its a wonderful propaganda system.

Sensata is the automobile sensor company in Freeport, IL, now owned by Bain of which  Mitt Romney is the overwhelmingly largest investor that is being taken overseas, and who's long term employees have to train the Chinese supervisors who will be training the lower level Chinese workers, and who them how their jobs are done.

I'd be tempted to make that training just faulty enough to cause problems in the new Chinese plant, just for all the people who've lost their jobs to date to this system, and for all of them who will lose their jobs in the future.

Scott Brown Ups His Racist Games in Massachusetts Senate Race.

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
Senator Brown thinks the majority of people in Massachusetts are racists, and racists who are not terribly bright. His heavy use of racist coding in the first debate should have repelled citizens of moderate to high intelligence. And now he's let his Senate staff (you paid for this with your tax dollars, citizens of the Bay State) chant stereotypical war hoots and dance the tomahawk chop dance. I guess Brown hasn't heard that Massachusetts entered the 21st century, and isn't back in the days when people tried to block minority students from attending their neighborhood schools.

New Info: What Mitt Romney Was Hoping No One Would Notice In His Tax Returns

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
Leave it to Ed Schultz to figure our what Mitt Romney thought Americans and our news media would be too stupid to find in his tax returns. I've clipped the most embarrassing part I can remember and put it up here for you. Other pundits may have noticed, but I didn't hear about these creepy parts of Mitt's dealings till Ed talked about them.

Is Business Manipulating the Economy to Get Romney Installed as President?

We've heard a lot about how the House of Representatives, after The GOP gained control in January 2011, put the kabosh on programs that would create new jobs, which is what we need during this downturn, and would cost less during a downturn so would be anti-inflationary.  But the GOP has blocked them in the House and through the filibuster in the Senate.  (Just last week the GOP filibustered to block a jobs program for veterans of our latest wars in a cruel and useless charade that could only serve to hurt vets, couldn't even boost the economy before the election.  They just did it to inflict more damage on someone so they might start thinking that letting fat cats walk away with more from the US Treasury, which is what Romney wants to do, might just help a tiny bit, though it in fact won't and will hurt many families through the resultant inflation.

But beyond the lay offs forced by Republican controlled state legislatures and the US Congress refusing to create new jobs even for what we need people to do:  Could it be that businesses themselves are working to make things harder for Americans so they can get Romney elected and their big bosses can get those lovely tax cuts for fat cats?

Now tax cuts for fat cats cause inflation for the rest of us, and often we also see  our wages go down when compared to the inflationary pressure.  The government is in control of saying what inflation is, so often, as we saw under Bush 43 they just ignore half of inflation and stuff the ignored part into a number that makes the economy look like it's improving.  News basically, only goes on the numbers that the government supplies, though I don't doubt that if the Obama administration tried hiding inflation the right wing news system would be all over it and then news would have to deal with it.

But rich people, like heads of businesses, they make out with supply side tax cuts like bandits, though if you look at the chart to the left, you'll see the orange showing the load we carry for those supply tax cuts that Bush installed outstrips even the debt from two wars (red) or even the effect of the economic crisis and recession that Bush left us with at the end of his term.  Still, well off people do well under supply side.  The do well without expanding business, without creating new jobs, because the government just dumps money into their pockets, our money.

So it's likely that most of the important business people in these United States would rather have Romney, and they are in a position to not import products so they don't need as many employees packing, shipping, recording transfers, managing communications, human resources etc. etc. etc.
And that makes Obama's employment numbers go down.

I've been looking for a simple hair clip, a cheap product that used to come 4 to a pack for about $4 for nine months.  They used to be a staple of the hair supply department and are very generic.  I need ones that lay nearly flat and securely fasten (not fold over) so I can pin my heair up under a gardening hat and know it will stay there.  Nine months, I haven't been able to find anything (not picky about color).  And I've noticed a lot of things people would want at reasonable prices that aren't being sold, with a bunch of crap stuck on shelves and racks like the stuff they couldn't sell 6 months ago.

I really think business itself is trying to game the election.  Too bad they are going to lose, and then they can start supplying goods the people want for a reasonable price or make way for businesses that will.  If they don't lose, it will be awful for the rest of us.  How long can we go on just dumping the US Treasury into the pockets of fat cats and us trying to deal with the inflation that follows.

Are Big Name Republicans Already Thinking Past Romney?

Note: Iowa is still a swing state, but it only has 6 electoral votes. A presidential candidate needs to win the big swing states or he or she will lose. So yeah, I guess it's looking so bad for Romney that his surrogates are moving on. See ya, Mitt! We're off to the first primary state for 2016.

GOP Senators Block Jobs Program Aimed at Veterans

Here are the names and party of the 40 Senators who blocked a vote (which would have been successful) for a jobs program aimed at veterans of the recent wars.

The Filibuster is a ridiculous idea, and the GOP is now filled with ridiculous money grubbing campaign donation seeking bunch of jerks in its Congressional ranks.

They also blocked jobs programs for the general public, stimulus, and even infrastructure repair and rebuilding for dangerous American roads and bridges, etc.

They did approve of spending for the Iraq war and allowed their cronies to charge to the American taxpayers for reconstruction in Iraq of medical clinics, which were given pricey specialty marble floors, and many electric plants that had expensive cutting edge technology which, not being designed for use in desert conditions, failed within months of turnover to the Iraqi people.
